De volgende handleiding legt je stap-voor-stap en in detail uit hoe je een paperback op maat maakt. Volg eenvoudigweg de stappen en je kunt je aangepaste paperback direct in onze printshop bestellen.
Stap 1
Upload je werk om te beginnen als PDF-document of stel het uiteindelijke aantal pagina’s in met onze schuifregelaar.
Stel de standaard in voor het afdrukken van de pagina’s (enkelzijdig of dubbelzijdig) en selecteer de gewenste papierdikte.
Vervolgens kun je het aanpasbare coverontwerp downloaden als een Word- of InDesign-sjabloon en het naar wens bewerken.
Tip
Als je voor een volledig vrij ontwerp kiest, raden we je aan een InDesign-sjabloon te downloaden.
In de betreffende ZIP-map vind je een PDF-bestand met een exacte beschrijving om de paperback vrij te configureren.
Stap 2
Als je je persoonlijke cover hebt ontworpen en op het tabblad “Cover uploaden” als PDF hebt geüpload, dan zie je in ons live-overzicht direct de definitieve cover.
Als je de boekrug wilt laten bedrukken, dan kun je met de knop “Formaat controleren” checken of je tekst op de juiste plaats staat.

Je hebt met de Look-inside-the-book functie ook de mogelijkheid om iedere pagina van je paperback te controleren en eventuele opmaakfouten te corrigeren voordat je het werk laat printen.

Daarbij wordt de prijs voor de geprinte pagina’s (32 ct. per pagina) nog opgeteld. Ook als je een volledig vrij ontwerp voor je binding kiest, blijft de basisprijs hetzelfde.
In principe kan ieder academisch werk worden geprint en met een paperback worden gebonden. Wij raden echter een hardcover-binding aan voor grote scripties, zoals een masterscriptie of proefschrift. Paperback is ook geschikt voor kleinere academische werkstukken waarvoor een creatieve binding is toegestaan:
Als je standaard BachelorPrint-papier 100 g/m² gebruikt, kun je maximaal 425 pagina’s in een paperback inbinden. Als je 120 g/m² papier gebruikt, wordt het maximum aantal pagina’s verminderd tot 353 pagina’s.
In principe is een paperback een soort lijmbinding, met dat verschil dat er onder een lijmbinding meestal een binding met een transparante frontfolie en gekleurd karton voor de achterzijde wordt verstaan. Voor paperback wordt daarentegen een bedrukbare papieren omslag gebruikt. Daardoor kan het ontwerp van de omslag naar wens worden aangepast.

Even though I asked a lot of places in Michigan to do this for me, nobody would do that like I wanted and some of them refused to deal with it since the waiting line on some places was more than a month. I found Bachelor's Print online. Ordered everything there, nice and easy. The order was placed Wednesday and no longer than 48 hours, it showed up in Michigan all the way from Germany.
