De spiraalbinding is bijzonder geschikt voor kleinere studiewerkstukken. Dit type bindwijze wordt echter zelden gebruikt voor grote, belangrijke werkstukken vanwege de zeer eenvoudige look en het gebrekkige weerstandsvermogen. Daarom kiezen de meeste studenten voor de presentatie van hun bachelor-/masterscriptie of dissertatie voor een hardcover-binding. Bezoek onze printshop voor meer bindingen.
Als je echter veel exemplaren van je scriptie moet inleveren, dan zijn spiraalbindingen en/of lijm zeer vriendelijke opties voor je portemonnee.
De spiraalbinding is, afhankelijk van het aantal vellen, verkrijgbaar in zeven verschillende diktes c.q. diameters. De spiraaldiktes variëren van 6 tot 32 mm. De maximale velomvang hangt echter ook af van het gewicht van het gebruikte papier.
Er passen meer vellen 100 g/m² papier in de ringband dan bij 120 g/m² papier. Dus als je meer dan 200 vellen wilt inbinden, raden we je aan om die dubbelzijdig te printen. Op deze manier kun je tot 300 pagina’s c.q. 290 vellen in de ringband kwijt. In de online-configurator kun je zien hoe een dubbelzijdige afdruk van jouw studiewerkstuk eruit zou zien en of de opmaak correct is.
De spiraalbinding is de goedkoopste bindwijze en al verkrijgbaar voor € 7,90. Houd er rekening mee dat de totale prijs afhangt van jouw individuele configuratie, d.w.z. het aantal exemplaren, de hoeveelheid te printen vellen, enz. De spiraalbinding is een eenvoudige en praktische bindmethode. Kenmerkend is de ringband op de boekrug die de losse vellen bij elkaar houdt. Deze ringband kan van metaal of plastic zijn en is zeer geschikt voor het inbinden van je geprinte masterscriptie.
Het productieproces van de binding bestaat uit drie basisstappen
Om te beginnen, tijdens de eerste stap wordt de geprinte inhoud van het studiewerkstuk inclusief de voorfolie en het op kleur geselecteerde rugkarton gestanst. Afhankelijk van de spiraalvariant zijn eventueel andere perforaties nodig.
Tijdens de tweede stap worden de gestanste vellen omgeven door de voorfolie en het rugkarton.
Tijdens de derde en laatste stap wordt de ringband met behulp van een machine door de gestanste gaten gehaald en vervolgens gesloten.
